Shifted her focus to paintings After losing her focus in movies, Shamlee opted to do paintings, and she has a wide collection of paintings. Shamlee recently organised an exhibition of her paintings to showcase her skills to friends and the public.

Shamlee is from a family of actors, being the younger sister to actor Richard Rishi and actress Shalini. She was born to Babu and Alice. Her father migrated to Madras with an ambition of becoming an actor and the family settled there.

Shamili is an Indian film actress who has worked mainly in Tamil, Kannada and Telugu films. She rose to prominence for her critically acclaimed performance as a mentally challenged child Anjali in the 1990 film Anjali and as a child trapped inside a bore-well in the 1992 film Malootty.
